Yoga
In conjunction with the New Providence Recreation Department we are excited to announce our Yoga Program. This program will be 7 weeks starting in April. We are honored to have Ms. Michelle Boyer to lead this program.
Ms. Michelle Boyer's Bio:
Michelle graduated with her Master’s in Elementary Education from James Madison University in 2009. In 2016, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Asmi Yoga in Bend, OR. Since then, her passion for yoga and mindfulness has only grown! She also received certifications in Corporate/Chair Yoga (2017) and Prenatal Yoga (2018). In addition to her experience as a classroom teacher, she taught children's’ yoga and dance with Little Hearts Yoga and Dance, LLC for 2 years. Over the past 4 years, she has taught at various yoga studios including Indigo Yoga, Sunlight of the Spirit and Unwind Yoga and Wellness.. She grew up in town and currently teaches 3rd grade at her former elementary school, Allen W. Roberts. Michelle is looking forward to continuing to share her love of yoga and mindfulness with the New Providence Community! Yoga (Grades 4-8): Gentle/Moderate Yoga. Stretching, strengthening and balance suitable for everyone, but easily modified for beginners to advanced. Please bring a mat.
